A recent article in “Counsel & Heal” reports on research which concludes that switching to a Mediterranean style diet has significant health benefits over the sort of low fat diet often advised.
“Not only will eating like the Spanish and Italians lower the risk of heart attacks, stroke, asthma and cancer, it can also improve and preserve brainpower more effectively than low-fat diets”
Many people will be frustrated by the volume of conflicting advice out there as to what is good to eat and what isn’t and this is likely to continue to be the case. The main aim has to be to develop a healthy diet plan and eat a proper balanced diet without overeating.
